1. Indoor Air Quality Testing (IAQT)
In this process, Smart Air Philippines’ Indoor Air Quality Specialists conduct indoor space investigations and assess the air quality by using portable air quality monitors.
Specialists measure various indoor air quality parameters, particularly Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5 and TVOC pollutants, carbon dioxide (CO2), and humidity (RH).
Question: What Air Quality Monitors Used?
This air quality monitor utilizes advanced sensors, including a laser particle sensor. It monitors PM2.5, temperature, and humidity with an accuracy of ±10%. Cloud-based calibration ensures ongoing accuracy, while Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity provides real-time data on the Kaiterra app.
Powered by high-precision sensors, it measures PM2.5, tVOCs, CO2, temperature, and humidity. The advanced algorithm processes data, calculates an Air Quality Index (AQI), and displays results on the monitor or via Wi-Fi on the QingPing+ app. Additionally, this portable air quality monitor has an accuracy of ±10.
2. HEPA Filtration Testing (HFT)
After the IAQT, HEPA Filtration equipment will be deployed to the determined area of concern which is the indoor space with the highest PM 2.5 level detected. The HEPA Filtration equipment and air quality monitors will stay inside the area for at least 1 week for data gathering purposes.
Aside from this, an air quality monitor will also be deployed to another area of concern which is the indoor space with the second highest PM 2.5 level. This is called without applied treatment and will only determine the daily PM 2.5 average level.
Regulatory agencies such as DOLE (in the Philippines), US EPA, and ASHRAE recommend Highly Efficient Particle Air (HEPA) filters as one of the effective engineering controls in minimizing the health risks associated with PM 2.5 pollutants.
3. Results and Recommendation
After completing the HEPA Filtration process, the exciting phase begins – our specialists will gather all the data to create a formal write-up.
